Claudia Haskel is a Marriage and Family Therapist providing counseling and psychotherapy since 2009 for couples, adults and teens who are experiencing an identity crisis, mental health challenges or relationship loss. Claudia works in private practice in Sebastopol, Santa Rosa and surrounding areas in Northern California. She offers a highly personalized approach tailored to each of her client's needs in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere. Many of Claudia's clients come to her for help when they realize they can no longer manage their distress on their own. Many are challenged by anxiety, depression, addiction, behavioral outbursts, sexual orientation or gender identity issues.
Claudia meets with her clients in a comfortable, private, fully accessible office in Santa Rosa, California. She is a graduate of the University of San Francisco with a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, and Antioch University with a B.A. in Human Resource Development. She has served as a psychotherapist and psychotherapist intern for 13 years.
Claudia has worked with over 500 culturally diverse adults, children and teens in private practice and at schools and clinics including Santa Rosa Junior College, Family Service Agency, and Bellevue Union School District. She is certified as an LGBT Affirmative Psychotherapist, is a gender specialist who has received advanced training in treating gender issues in adults, adolescents, and children, and has completed coursework in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Health Professionals, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and Gottman Couple's Therapy.
Claudia is a member of the California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists and the Redwood Empire Chapter of Marriage and Family Therapists. She has received the Spirit of Santa Rosa leadership award from the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce and holds a black belt in Kenpo Karate.
